Ferris vs Ridgeline
Ferris came in looking for back-to-back wins for the first time in a long while, a week after picking up its first victory in more than a season. For a few minutes, it looked possible. Jake Layton picked off Ridgeline quarterback Kolton Peil and returned it for a touchdown to put the Saxons on the board first.
The Falcons answered right away. Peil hit Jameson Murphy for a 66-yard touchdown to tie it at 7, and from there it was all Ridgeline. Marcus Mitrovich scored on a fake inside the red zone, Jaxin Fieser added another on a run around the edge, and the Falcons led 34-7 at the half.
Ridgeline kept pulling away after the break and finished with a 61-7 win on its home field. The Falcons improved to 2-1, while Ferris fell to 1-2.
